> Master Jing continues: 'Furthermore, toward nirvāṇa, one conceptualizes that one's own entity will be permanently destroyed, giving rise to an aspect of fear and terror. When such different aspects operate, one does not give rise to love and joy toward delighting in the holy teaching and toward cherishing nirvāṇa; this is called "obstructing the two loci." Moreover, through two approaches, the grasping of self and what belongs to the self operates differentially toward the cognitive object and one's own sphere of action: seeking is view, and experiencing is feeling.' Another commentary says: 'Here, the formations, the causes and conditions of formations, and so on, observed by the five aspects, are called the five loci.'
