雜相者，生支具攝識等五支，老死但攝受支後分，故名雜相，亦可老死潤生俱有識等五支名有雜相。

> mixed characteristics: the factor of birth fully subsumes the five factors of consciousness and the rest, and old age and death merely subsume the latter portion of the factor of feeling; hence they are called mixed characteristics. Alternatively, old age and death and moistening birth both possess the five factors of consciousness and the rest; hence they are said to have mixed characteristics.
