> "All wholesome, unwholesome, and neutral karma": all meritorious wholesome karma, unwholesome karma, and neutral karma in ordinary persons and trainees; and all meritorious wholesome and neutral karma in non-trainees are all karma of neither; therefore it says "all wholesome, unwholesome, and neutral karma." In fascicle sixty-six, only the noble ones are spoken of as trainees because it is designated from the superior; here, based on the support, they are treated collectively, so that the trainee's innate wholesome \[roots\] and the like are also called trainee; were it not so, they would be otherwise, which would not accord with that text.
