> This treatise states: 'The four visible forms are subsumed under sentient beings, requisites, palaces, and the like'—this means that the four designations of good, bad, inferior, and superior are visible forms, and the aforementioned few and many are forms of sentient beings and so forth, and thus not sound and so forth. Because one subdues and masters the form-ayatana, one is also able to transform and manifest the other four sensory dusts. Alternatively, although the first two vimokṣas initially contemplate only form and thereby induce the first four stations of mastery, once the stations of mastery have arisen, one subsequently contemplates the four sensory dusts, subduing and mastering them so as to induce the vimokṣas; later, in the fully perfected state, one again contemplates only cognitive objects such as forms and illumination, being able to perform transformative manifestations.
