> 'Being far removed from all inconceivable matters' refers to points left unexplained (\*avyākṛta\*) and the realms of realization of the various stages that are not one's own sphere. Regarding 'being able to skillfully understand tacit discourse and great discourse': Tai says that speech uttered without relying on an authoritative tradition is called 'tacit discourse', while that with an authoritative tradition, such as hearing speech from buddhas and bodhisattvas, is called 'great discourse'. Ji says that the erroneous discourses and evil discourses of non-Buddhists are called 'tacit discourse', while the correct discourses and good discourses within the Buddhist teaching are called 'great discourse'. Regarding 'generating only faith and understanding toward a fraction of the Dharma, etc.': this refers to matters where one has little knowledge and understanding that are not one's own sphere, which are called 'a fraction of the Dharma'; one should only have faith and understanding in them and not slander them. If it is a Dharma of which one has some knowledge within one's own sphere, one should examine it with wisdom.
