> The four kinds of objective supports are as in the eleventh fascicle of the Abhidharma: 1. Pervasive objective supports are fourfold: conceptual images, non-conceptual images, the limits of things, and the fulfillment of tasks. 2. Objective supports for purifying practice are fivefold: the distinct contemplative practices for excessive greed, excessive hatred, excessive delusion, arrogance, and discursive thought. 3. Objective supports for skill are fivefold: objective supports for skill in the aggregates, elements, sense fields, dependent origination, and the possible and impossible. 4. Objective supports for pure precepts are threefold: the coarse and peaceful aspects, tathatā, and the truths.
