- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.99](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.5.99)

> Among the three gates, Tai says: Relinquishing the seven wholesome physical \[actions\] is called the destruction of action; destroying non-greed and non-hatred to give rise to wholesome intention is called the destruction of intention; destroying the nature of expedients such as compassion is called the destruction of expedients. Ji says: The first seven are the destruction of action because they perform actions by manifesting bodily and vocally externally; the next two are the destruction of intention because non-greed and non-hatred constitute correct joy and delight; the final one is the destruction of expedients because right view is the cause of noble knowledge.
