> In "having nirvāṇa as the foremost," there is first a question, next an explanation, and finally a conclusion of the extensive meaning. The explanation is divided into two parts: first, explaining the characteristics of having nirvāṇa as the foremost; next, explaining the five superior benefits obtained thereby. The first text also has two parts: first, generally clarifying that having nirvāṇa as the foremost means hearing the true Dharma not for other conditions; next, explaining its status as foremost through ten progressive stages. Within the latter there are two: first, setting forth the ten progressive stages; second, having nirvāṇa as the foremost.
