> Regarding the explanation of the faults of immoderate eating: due to extremely little eating, one suffers hunger, emaciation, and diminished life; due to extremely much eating, the food is not digested or transformed; due to inappropriate food, it should be known that it is also like this. If one compares this inappropriate food to undigested food, there is a difference: touching poison or inappropriate medicines accumulates faults within the body, causing extremely severe suffering; whereas through defiled food, seeking unlawfully, once obtained, there are the faults of defiled attachment, indulgence, and greed.
