> Eleventh, 'marvellous doctrines' (adbhutadharma): expounding the virtues possessed by the seven classes of disciples of the Buddha, whether shared or unshared, which surpass all others; hence they are called marvellous doctrines. If the virtues produced by the seven classes of disciples seeking nirvāṇa through abandoning evil and cultivating good immediately bring about rebirth as humans or devas, these are shared with other shares of merit, hence called 'shared'; because through this they ultimately attain supermundane nirvāṇa, they are called 'unshared'. Because they are unshared, they surpass the other virtues of non-Buddhists; though they share in bringing about rebirth among humans and devas, they are supreme among humans and devas; hence it is said, 'surpassing all worldly beings, affirmed by the omniscient ones who know ultimate truth, extremely extraordinary, rare, and of great merit,' which encompasses what is expounded in other texts, such as a blue ox walking among earthenware bowls without knocking against them, a white dog listening to the Dharma, a monkey offering honey, and such matters; these are called marvellous doctrines. A śikṣamāṇā is translated here as 'female trainee', because she trains in the six rules.
