瑜伽論記 7.217

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [7.217](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.7.217)

答六復次中，初云、若緣外他有情，名內外者，是有情數故名內，非自身色名外。基師解云：此中中緣身無簡能造所造總緣，若下第四唯能造，非所造故別也。

> In answering through the six repetitions, the first says: If one takes external other sentient beings as objects, it is called 'internal-and-external' because they belong to sentient beings, hence 'internal'; but not being the form of one's own body, hence 'external.' Master Ji explains: Here, taking the body as an object does not distinguish between primary elements and derived forms, but takes them generally as objects; whereas in the fourth below, it is only the primary elements and not the derived forms, and thus it differs.
