> Co-nourishing also has two aspects: what is nourished is the same as before; the nourisher is grasping. Alternatively, craving and grasping are called nourishing, while the other afflictions that assist in nourishing rebirth are called co-nourishing. The ten causes are called that which can project; the two results are called that which is projected. Therefore, the text below cites the formations and speaks of birth, aging, and death; alternatively, all twelve links of dependent origination are called formations. Direct generation is called cause, while supportive accomplishment is called condition.
