### [9.77](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.9.77)

> the Tripiṭaka Master comprehensively recounted twenty-five interpretations, namely eleven for sudden severance and fourteen for gradual severance. Although there are various theories, Dharmapāla's orthodox position is the sudden severance of a single grade. The second master's explanation: there are not two minds, because when the task of the orthodox tradition is completed, their aspects are identical, so it is spoken of comprehensively as one mind; two minds are not one, called multiple moments; or perhaps three \[minds\] add the path of distinction, so they do not contradict each other.
