Herein, the path of six practices is called "thoroughly knowing the object," because it takes as objects the phenomena to be thoroughly known through delight and revulsion; the supramundane path is called "delighting in the object," because it generates delight solely by taking supramundane phenomena as its object. Master Ji says: regarding "operating when what is to be done is accomplished": it means that what is to be done accomplishes the purification of that basis; and because the basis is purified, it causes all-pervading delight to be purified; hence it says "operating when accomplished."
