- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [10.59](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1829.10.59)

> Regarding the treatise's statement under the fifth portal, on the ultimate and so forth: "If all afflictions are permanently severed, if all eightfold noble path \[factors\] exist, and if relying on this one obtains worldly wholesome dharmas, this is termed ultimate" and so forth: this is like in the body of an aśaikṣa, where through the sovereign condition of the power of the eight uncontaminated path factors, contaminated wholesome dharmas are produced; this is termed 'ultimate' only because this is produced having already reached the supreme fruit.
