### [11.116](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1829.11.116)

> The treatise explains pure patience as having ten kinds, as in the Bodhisattvabhūmi-sūtra, one, two, and so forth, up to the number ten: patience of not retaliating; patience of the mind not being enraged; patience of having no present and continuous resentment; patience of benefiting once without repeating the benefit, and relinquishing life without failing to benefit; patience of going in person to apologize to an enemy; patience of readily accepting another's apology; patience of unendurable matters developing superior shame and conscience; patience of revering the Great Master; patience of pitying sentient beings; and patience of completely severing and attaining all. These are matched accordingly as in the treatise.
