> Where the śāstra explains uddāna through three meanings, stating "the meaning of being associated with phenomena": this signifies impermanence and so forth, yet it is not associated with conditioned phenomena. Furthermore, this track of practice can lead to a great birth, bringing about superior fruits of humans and devas with outflows, because it brings about birth in an outflow-free pure land. Furthermore, it can bring about birth in the form and formless realms, which is called a great birth. Furthermore, it can attain birth in the true Dharma, which is called a great birth. Moreover, if discussed in contrast to transcending the peak of existence, this great birth is indeed a birth with outflows.
