> Regarding "The bliss of the cessation of ideation and feeling: this is bliss based on abiding, not the bliss of feeling," it means that upon entering the absorption of cessation, although the six consciousnesses have ceased, the absorption of cessation abides within the body, which is termed the bliss of abiding. Furthermore, because the absorption of cessation abides within the body, all fatigue, anxious thoughts, dauṣṭhulya, and meditative obstacles are stilled; hence it is called the bliss of abiding. Furthermore, among the five kinds of bliss, this one abides in tranquility through the cessation of feeling; hence it is called the bliss of abiding, not belonging to the category of pleasant feeling.
