瑜伽師地論略纂 3.20

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.20](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1829.3.20)

「若言異者，彼顯為無因耶」等者，問果顯時，有因無因。無因，量云：果法先來應顯，顯無因故，如後顯時；或今應不顯，顯無因故，如未顯時。

> Regarding "If you say they are different, does that manifestation lack a cause?" and so forth: this asks whether, when the effect becomes manifest, it has a cause or lacks a cause. If it lacks a cause, the formal inference is: "The phenomenon of the effect should have been manifest from the beginning; because manifestation lacks a cause; just like at the time of subsequent manifestation." Or: "It should not be manifest now; because manifestation lacks a cause; just like at the time when it was not yet manifest."
