- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.52](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1829.3.52)

> Regarding action, there are five \[arguments\]: first, the argument by analogy with a seed—because it is directly produced, it should be impermanent; second, the argument by analogy with a potter—because it is accomplished as a distinct entity, it should not be permanent; third, the argument by analogy with supernormal powers—because there would be mastery, rebirth in narakas, greed, anger, and so forth would not arise; fourth, the argument by analogy with the earth—because it serves as a motionless basis and manifests actions; fifth, the argument by analogy with space—because it is designated in the absence of form, it lacks functional activity.
