> Regarding "successively up to: because contact born of maturation ceases, feeling born of maturation ceases": the text above this explains that because ignorance ceases, future fruits cease. Regarding "in the present life, because ignorance ceases, contact of ignorance ceases" and so forth: the text below explains that because ignorance ceases, contact, feeling, and so forth in the present that accord with ignorance cease. The six sense-bases and so forth already exist, and do not exist by virtue of present ignorance; it does not say that when ignorance ceases, the present six sense-bases and so forth cease. Contact, feeling, and so forth are generated along with ignorance, so they alone are said to cease along with it; because this basis (āśraya) ceases, the feeling and so forth supported by it (āśrita) all likewise cease along with it. Regarding "constantly experiencing feelings detached from bondage, not feelings accompanied by bondage": defiled feelings that are freed from the augmenting bonds of the afflictions, as well as undefiled feelings, are called "feelings detached from bondage"; it does not necessarily mean that all are undefiled feelings. Regarding "the holy life has been established": this is the path of the truth of the path consisting of knowledge of the truth of cessation being fulfilled. Regarding "ultimate nirvāṇa; in being fulfilled regarding the truth of cessation, it reveals the seeking of nirvāṇa": this is fulfillment regarding the truth of cessation attained with the Buddha.
