> In explaining gentleness, where it says "such six kinds of delightful and lovable \[qualities\]" and so forth: these are the six kinds of concord and respect (ṣaṭ-saṃrañjanīyā dharmāḥ). The first three types of karma constitute three; harmonious common enjoyment constitutes one; sharing identical precepts and views constitute one each—thus making six. Within harmonious common enjoyment, the beginning generally explains it; from "whatever one desires to eat" downward, it explains harmony; from "acquired in accordance with the Dharma" downward, it clarifies enjoyment. Furthermore, the six mixed dwellings are separately explained here; they are to be explained individually as they occur.
