Taking as objects the eighteen dhātus, conditioned and unconditioned, because the mirror-like wisdom universally takes all phenomena as objects, the self-nature of mind and so on and their associated dharmas can all be taken as objects. The darśanabhāga also reflects the image of the svasaṃvittibhāga and the image of associated factors; hence it is called universal wisdom, as explained in the second fascicle, the fourth of the Buddhabhūmi\[-śāstra\], the various gates distinguished in the tenth fascicle below, and the seventh below explaining from the transformation of the consciousness of which realm the mirror-like wisdom is generated. Up to this point, the distinguishing of the eighth consciousness through ten gates in all is finished. Following the verse text, if the associated dharmas are modeled on the root consciousness, there are eleven gates. If individually explained following \[the text\], there are immeasurable ones, each explained according to separate gates as before.
