> The Commentary states: Conceiving what is not the path to be the path is a wrong view under the truth of the path. Although it is conceiving what is not superior as superior, because it is not the retinue of precepts, it is not the grasping of precepts. Moreover, it is not conceived as superior, so it is not the grasping of precepts, as will be known below. "All such as these" means including the four \[views\] such as having a limit among the fourteen inexpressible matters, because they are subsumed here. However, regarding the sixty-two views, according to the text of fascicle 58: if subsumed under extreme views, they are severed only by \[the vision of\] the truth of suffering, because taking the truth of suffering as the self increases them, and extreme views are severed along with \[the view of\] the self. If subsumed under wrong views, \[the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra\] itself states that the two \[theories of\] no-cause belong only to the truth of origination, and the five \[kinds of\] nirvāṇa in visible phenomena belong only to the truth of cessation, because they are confused about contaminated causes and confused about the fruit of nirvāṇa. The four \[views\] on having a limit, being boundless, etc., fall under the two truths of suffering and cessation, because they arise from confusion about contaminated and uncontaminated fruits. The prevarications of eel-wrigglers are severed under all four truths, because they question, answer, and are confused about all four truths. Since there is no text stating that what is subsumed under extreme views is severed by the truth of suffering, one simply follows the twenty views of the body being severed by seeing the truth of suffering; that is, the view of self that is followed among the sixty-two is also like this. Fascicle 88 states: relying on the twenty views of the body, the sixty-two views are produced, and so on.
