> The Commentary states: It is also said that seven are admitted, excluding the three of concealment, deceit, and flattery, because one cannot practice deceit and flattery toward the sublime phenomena of cessation and the path. Another interpretation holds that five factors—jealousy, malice, harm, stinginess, and arrogance—are also directly confused about the truths, because Fascicle 58 states that one gives rise to jealousy and so forth toward the truth of cessation and so on, as cited before. However, it is not explicitly stated that arrogance is also confused about the truths; by reasoning it is inferred to exist, because one relies with pride upon what has been attained. In the second case of the Great Treatise (Yogācārabhūmi), there is text discussing stinginess regarding the truths, which should be checked. The ninth verse of the Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra refers to non-Buddhists who are jealous when expounding the Dharma; thus it is also abandoned by seeing and confused about the truths. By extension, each truth possesses twenty, and their number can be known.
