### [7.192](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1830.7.192)

> The Commentary states: The intention of this objection is: Having accepted that the mind appears resembling the two—meaning that it has already been established that the mind appears resembling the two parts of darśana and nimitta, or appears resembling the grāhaka and the grāhya, this restates the established meaning. 'So it appears resembling greed, etc.' restates the indicated meaning, which is why it says 'so'. 'Resembling greed, etc.' means that the mind again transforms to resemble all defiled dharmas such as greed and anger, or to resemble all wholesome dharmas such as faith. Here, the word 'resembling' means resembling dharmas such as the two real parts imagined outside the mind; hence it is called 'resembling'. 'There are no separate defiled or wholesome dharmas' means that the mind transforms to resemble the two parts of darśana and nimitta, and these two parts have no separate dharmas apart from the mind. It further says that the mind transforms to resemble greed, faith, and so on; therefore, apart from the mind, greed, faith, and so forth are not separate defiled or wholesome dharmas, their substance being simply the mind, just like the two parts. Because it says that the mind transforms to resemble them, we know that they are transformed from the mind to resemble greed, faith, and so on, and are not separate mental factors. First it is proven through the sūtras, and afterwards established through reasoning. This was the objection against mental factors being separate from the mind; next is the objection against their not being separate from the mind.
