The superior ones are only from the eighth stage onwards, where they spontaneously and truly transform the great earth and the like into gold and jewels for the use of sentient beings; hence the object transforms in accordance with wisdom, and whatever is desired is accomplished. Alternatively, in the contemplation of conceptual thought (adhimokṣa-manaskāra), although the object is also formed, what is taken here is the transformation of the original archetype (maula-dravya), not this \[latter contemplation\]; the former explanation is correct. Furthermore, in terms of attaining the ten masteries, they are attained in all ten stages; by this meaning, attaining mastery of samādhi means they transform even from the first stage, or that mastery of samādhi is attained in the third stage, each spoken according to its preeminence.
