> Or it is divided into three as a whole: namely, the beginning, the middle, and the end. The first verse and a half is called the beginning; the subsequent twenty-three and a half verses are called the middle; the final five verses are called the end. This is because the beginning, middle, and end are all wholesome. In the broad \[explanation in the middle\] there are three: the first fourteen and a half verses broadly explain the substance of the three transforming \[consciousnesses\]; the next one verse broadly explains transformation based on consciousness; the latter eight verses broadly explain statements such as "metaphorical designation".
