成唯識論掌中樞要 2.80

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.80](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1831.2.80)

何故四緣三名所依，所緣緣體不名所依，勝者名依，勢相親近，所緣緣疎，是故不立。因則可是，依義則非。

> Why is it that of the four conditions, three are named 'basis' (āśraya), while the substantial entity of the object-condition (ālambana-pratyaya) is not named a basis? That which is superior is called a basis, and its causal force is intimate; the object-condition is distant, and therefore is not established \[as a basis\]. It may well be a cause, but the meaning of 'basis' is not \[applicable to it\].
