> Question: Are past dharmas more numerous, or are future dharmas more numerous? One master says: Past dharmas are more numerous, because there is no initial beginning, and because they have flowed into the past. A second says: Future dharmas are more numerous, because the future is without end. A third says: They are equal, because the Buddha said dharmas have no coming or going. What are the three times? Because regarding a single dharma, when it is currently active, it is called the present; when it has already acted, it is called the past; when it has not yet acted, it is called the future.
