答：舉能并所，可依主名。今此所得立以得名，故非依主。或可得是推求體也，明者是照用也，體能有用，得之明名「明得」。明得之定，並依主釋或隣近釋，定非明得，明得俱定，名「明得定」。

> Answer: If one presents both the grasper and the grasped, it could be a tatpuruṣa name. But here, what is obtained is designated with the name "obtaining"; therefore, it is not a tatpuruṣa compound. Or it may be that "obtaining" is the substance of inquiring, while "light" is the function of illumination; the substance can possess the function, and the light that is obtained is called "obtaining light." The samādhi of obtaining light is in both cases a tatpuruṣa compound or a bahuvrīhi/adjacent compound (upacāra): the samādhi is not itself the obtaining of light, but the samādhi possessing the obtaining of light is called the "samādhi of obtaining light."
