- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.6](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1833.3.6)

> There are briefly two explanations. One says: the words 'the twelvefold dependent origination is not' mean that it is not a seed; the words 'unconditioned, without grasping, and so forth' explain the reason. The second says: the words 'is not' belong to the lower clause, revealing that the substance of that dependent origination is not unconditioned; the words 'without grasping, and so forth' explain the reason. The former explanation is fundamental. Its primary purpose is to show that the unconditioned is not a seed, not wishing to refute their doctrine of the unconditioned.
