- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [6.18](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1833.6.18)

> Carefully evaluated: Perhaps nocturnal creatures also wait for light and the like. Although it is darkness relative to humans and the like, why could it not be light relative to owls and the like? Just as four views differ regarding a single object. When humans view forms beyond the obstruction of lapis lazuli, that lapis lazuli must be distant from the eye before they can see it; if it is close to the eye and there is no space between, they cannot see it either. Speaking from this, it still waits for space. The case of fish and the like is also entirely so.
