- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [6.56](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1833.6.56)

> The explanation says: Saying 'purity' reveals the preparatory practice of skipping and freedom from defilement, etc. 'None can skip past a third' clarifies that none can skip two and reach the third; the rest of the text can be understood. And the Commentary says: 'Because one can only enter by skipping one level of anāsrava'; one who has not attained mastery, according to the Yogācārabhūmi, only skips one level. Therefore, when one who skips is about to enter the absorption of cessation, they gradually skip one level from the first dhyāna up to the sphere of nothingness, and then skip the sphere of neither-conception-nor-non-conception to enter the absorption of cessation, which is called skipping one level.
