> The explanation says: The emptiness of the two graspings is called "having no nature." This nature is not nonexistent; hence it is called "the existence of nonexistence." Regarding the Treatise stating: "Why is it not existent? Because there is no existence of duality," the explanation says: Falsely clinging to the two graspings of grasper and grasped as existent—the absence of that twofold existence is called "the nonexistence of the existence of duality." Regarding the Treatise stating: "Why is it not nonexistent? Because there is the nonexistence of duality," the explanation says: Because the principle of the two selflessnesses is not devoid of essence, it is called "the existence of the twofold nonexistence." Regarding the Treatise stating: "This emptiness is neither different from nor identical with that false conceptualization. If it were different, it would follow that the nature of phenomena (dharmatā) is different from phenomena (dharma), which would contradict right principle, as in the case of suchness and the like; if it were identical, it would not be an object of pure knowledge, nor would it be a common characteristic."
