> Speaking of caitasika-dharmas, they possess three characteristics: first, always arising reliant upon citta; second, being associated with citta; third, being bound to citta. Possessing these three characteristics, they are named caitasikas; for they must rely on citta as their support before they can arise; contact and the rest are always associated with citta. Since it is said that they are associated with citta, it is because citta is not associated with citta itself; citta is not a caitasika; there is association with an other nature, not with one's own nature.
