大乘起信論義疏 1.11

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.11](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1843.1.11)

問：何故應中具明三德，真中總乎？答：應佛其是教主也，故偏廣嘆，真身非主故總嘆耳。理應齊論。

> Question: Why are the three virtues fully clarified in the adaptive \[body\], but only summarized in the true \[body\]? Answer: The nirmāṇakāya Buddha is indeed the master of the teachings, and therefore he is praised with particular breadth; the true body is not the master, and therefore it is only praised in summary. In principle, they should be treated equally.
