大乘起信論義記 2.71

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.71](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1846.2.71)

「若離」下反結也，以對染無說真為空，非無如體以為空也。亦可此文是釋疑，疑者聞上真空，則謂撥無真體及恒沙功德。今釋，如文可知，是則明空不異不空也。

> From 'if free from' onwards is the reverse conclusion: because it is in antithesis to the absence of defilements that the real is spoken of as empty, not that the absence of the essence of tathatā is taken to be empty. Alternatively, this passage resolves doubt: upon hearing of true emptiness above, a doubter would suppose that the true essence and the virtues numerous as the sands of the Ganges are negated. Now it is explained, as can be understood from the text, which clarifies that emptiness is not different from non-emptiness.
