- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [11.18](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1848.11.18)

二以下，二、以義不便答，二：初、無和合義故不說。無明等者，前說無明與真和合，成梨耶三相。末那但一向生滅，無和合義。若言和合，自成梨耶。若無和合，識從何生？義既不便，求說不及。

> From 'Second, because' below: second, answering through doctrinal inconvenience, with two: first, not speaking \[of it\] because it lacks the meaning of blending. 'Ignorance' etc.: previously it was said that ignorance blends with the true to form the three marks of the ālayavijñāna. Manas is solely arising and ceasing, without the meaning of blending. If one says it blends, it would itself constitute the ālayavijñāna. If there is no blending, from where does consciousness arise? Since the doctrine is inconvenient, searching for an explanation fails.
