起信論疏筆削記 12.17

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [12.17](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1848.12.17)

論　唯佛下，三、唯佛窮了。疏　四相俱了者，以覺前者則不覺後，覺後者必能覺前，是故此中通言四相，故前云：若得無念者，則知心相生住異滅。

> The Śāstra states: "Only the Buddha..." Below, third: only the Buddha thoroughly understands. Commentary: "Fully understanding all four marks": because being aware of the former entails not being aware of the latter, whereas being aware of the latter necessarily enables one to be aware of the former, therefore all four marks are comprehensively spoken of here. Hence it was said before: "If one attains thoughtlessness, then one knows the arising, abiding, changing, and ceasing of the marks of the mind."
