The commentary has two parts: first, explaining the text. \[Regarding\] "Subsequent \[wisdom\]", and so on: it explains the name of the obstructed wisdom, which is also named partial wisdom, conventional wisdom, provisional wisdom, and so on. Because it can only arise after fundamental wisdom realizes tathatā, it is called subsequently attained wisdom. Knowing in accordance with the quantitative measure of things is called wisdom according with the variety of phenomena (yāvad-bhāvikatā-jñāna); the \[words\] "precisely the above" point out the essence of the obstructed wisdom. \[Regarding\] "Because avidyā...", and so on: it explains the marks of its hindrance. \[Regarding\] "taking its name from that which is obstructed": it is the hindrance of wisdom, an appositional determinative compound (tatpuruṣa).
