The path of cultivation is from the second stage to virtual enlightenment; because in these stages, one sequentially practices the pāramitā practices such as morality (śīla), and as for the rest, it is not that one does not cultivate them, but merely according to one's power and portion, hence called myriad practices, extensively as explained in the Avataṃsaka-sūtra.
