> The treatise says: From "The nature of wisdom..." on: second, mind is identical to form. "Identical to form" means: since the wisdom of the dharmakāya is the essence of form, when the forms of reward and transformation manifest, that is the entire essence giving rise to function. The fact that these reward and transformation \[bodies\] pervade all times is precisely the dharmakāya pervading all places. The commentary says: Regarding "like water..." and so forth: this clarifies that the essence pervades within the function; wherever there are reward and transformation \[bodies\], there is the dharmakāya. Therefore the Avataṃsaka says: "The dharmatā pervades all places, all sentient beings, and lands; across the three times it is fully present without remainder, yet no shape or mark can be found." This shows the previous passage where the waves are entirely identical to the water. That the commentary does not mention it is due to abbreviation.
