The pretentious: although they do not break precepts, their nature is not straightforward; relying on deviant thoughts and calculations, they manifest unusual deportment to dazzle the mundane world and seek fame and gain, having fundamentally not a fraction of a mind seeking transcendence, yet broadly disparaging other people who lack unusual deportment as being entirely devoid of virtue. These are thieves of the ramaṇas, and also thieves of deportment, as stated in sūtras such as the \*Kāśyapa\* and \*Ratnakūṭa\*. 2. The shallow-minded: their nature lacks deep wisdom; conceitedly relying on their own precept-conduct, they consider it to be liberation, bullying the assemblies whose vehicle is urgent but precepts relaxed; when hearing of the emptiness of all dharmas, they give rise to fear.
