> From "using function" downward, second, resolving an implicit objection, first directly resolving it. The objection says: "Since it says 'the essence and attributes of that body,' it should match and belong to the Buddha, and its meaning would be smooth; why instead does it say 'the Dharma Jewel'?" Hence this is explained: because the Buddha has three bodies, and the greatness of function already subsumes the sambhogakāya and nirmāṇakāya, it belongs to the Buddha Jewel; the two greatnesses of essence and attributes are precisely the dharmakāya, and matching them to the Dharma Jewel is completely fitting in principle.
