> Question: What is the difference between one consciousness having two aspects and One Mind having two gates? Answer: The One Mind contains two meanings, namely the meaning of remaining unchanged and the meaning of according with conditions. Here, it is only in terms of the one gate of according with conditions, the non-dual attributes of defiled and pure, principle and phenomena, that this consciousness is clarified. The meaning of mind is broad, covering both gates; the meaning of consciousness is restricted, residing in only one gate.
