- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.118](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1851.1.118)

> Next, the fourth \[gate\] clarifies its function. Based on the aforementioned real tathāgatagarbha essence, conditioned arising assembles and produces saṃsāra and nirvāṇa; this is its function. As a sūtra states: "The twelve links of conditioned arising are all created by the one mind." It also states: "The triple realm is created by the one mind." Furthermore, it states: "The dharmakāya, transmigration through the five destinies, is called a sentient being." This is the real giving rise to saṃsāra. Moreover, as in the sūtra: "The tathāgatagarbha nature is manifested as the dharmakāya." Meanings such as these are \[the real\] giving rise to nirvāṇa. The essence and characteristics of non-self are roughly like this.
