> Question: Vimalakīrti's elucidation of the profound reaches the ultimate, yet does it also cause there to remain, beyond silence, a sphere corresponding to personal awakening? Why is it not discussed? Explanation: For the sake of transforming \[beings\], the ultimate limit lies in speech and silence; beyond speech and silence, nothing further can be stated. A place that cannot be stated has never been elucidated from the beginning—how could it be only now?
