> First is explaining the names. As for the 'two truths', the first is worldly truth, and the second is the truth of ultimate meaning. Furthermore, worldly truth is also named conventional truth and also named equal truth. 'World' refers to time; phenomenal dharmas arise and cease within time, and distinguishing dharmas in terms of time is why it is called worldly truth. If so, then unconditioned dharmas, not being dharmas of arising and ceasing, should not be worldly truth. Explanation: Some names do not encompass all dharmas. Within this truth, both conditioned and unconditioned dharmas are subsumed. Conditioned dharmas are the world, whereas unconditioned dharmas are not the world; establishing the designation on the basis of what exists is why it is called worldly truth, which is similar to the provisional designation of sentient beings mentioned earlier. Furthermore, 'world' refers to worldly people. All phenomenal dharmas are known by worldly people, and therefore it is named worldly truth. Thus the Nirvāṇa Sūtra says: 'What is known by worldly people is named worldly truth.'
