二諦義 3.30

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.30](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1854.3.30)

> Third, explaining the cutting off of the two truths: the cutting off of the two truths means cutting off the two truths themselves, clarifying that the two truths are doctrinal gateways, intended to express the non-dual path. Phenomena are neither existent nor non-existent. Being not existent, for the sake of sentient beings existence is forcibly spoken of to express non-existence; being not non-existent, for the sake of sentient beings non-existence is forcibly spoken of to express not non-existent. This means that existence and non-existence express neither existence nor non-existence; therefore, existence and non-existence are cut off. The primary intention is that what is not cut off is used to express what is cut off; hence, the non-cut-off is itself the cut-off.
